Egypt Trip Review & Itinerary
How did we get there, get around, and what did we do?
A lot of people have asked for details on our trip to Egypt at the end of April 2022. I’m two and a half years late posting this, but better late than never!
A few things to consider:
- My husband and I did this trip on our own, we did NOT take our kids.
- I’ll share what I can on pricing details as I know there is interest in that. It wasn’t the cheapest trip or cheapest way to see Egypt — however it was at the luxury level we were looking for.
- Our trip was a mix of guided tours in Cairo plus a seven-day, seven-night Nile cruise on the Oberoi Zahra.
Flights
Since it was an adult trip, mostly celebrating my husband and my 40th birthdays, we decided to splurge and go business class. Yes, I used points. Here are our flight details.
OUTBOUND (MIA — LHR — CAI)
Price per passenger (2 tickets) = $120.50 + 70,000 AAdvantage Miles
We booked the itinerary below but were offered a last-minute change to fly direct MIA to LHR on American Airlines instead of transiting through JFK for no difference in cost, so we opted for that.
